Baledmund Castle is an elegant, baronial house in an extraordinary Highland setting of over 15 acres of pastures and woodlands overlooking the charming town of Pitlochry. The castle is just over an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow and an hour from famed St. Andrews.  Within striking distance are famous castles such as Glamis (home of the Queen Mother), Balmoral (one of Queen Elizabeth's homes), and Blair Castle (home of the Duke of Atholl and the Atholl Highlanders, Europe's only private army).  During the summer season, there are many Scottish events: pipe bands in full tatan regalia, traditional country dancing, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre with plays and concerts.  Salmon can be seen leaping the dam in town.  Balemund can hold up to 16 persons in its 9 bedrooms.  For home entertainment, a personal piper can be arranged, and there is a billiard room.
