Fabulous castle with four corner round towers dating back to the 11th century. Through the centuries the castle has been the country residence of several noble Florentine families, more recently of the Dukes of San Clemente. The "castello" presides above its vast estate and enjoys spectacular views over the valley of the Tiber.  It is a unique experience to stay here and sample the atmosphere of such an impressive and historic home with its frescoed galleries, carved stone staircases, arched ceilings and handsome antique furnishings . The castle has been completely and beautifully restored and is ideal for large family reunions or for friends enjoying a holiday together.  Although the castle has 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, up to 12 adults are permitted as guests, the balance for children only.. The private swimming pool is over 50 feet long with a shower. Guests will enjoy tea or cocktails under the giant magnolia tree on the front lawn of the castle. Amenities include: Tv, fireplaces, fax, phone, billiard table, washing machine.  Location is perfect for touring both Tuscany and Umbria.  Closest village is medieval Anghiari (4 kms) ,   Arezzo is 20 kms, Florence 80 kms, Perugia 40, San Sepulcro (home of Piero della Francesca) 8kms.
