In an incredibly lovely hilltop Umbrian village, At Home Abroad is pleased to offer a delightful comfy village accommodation, one easy flight up and all on one level. The house is built into the huge stone wall which encircles the village of Montone. Perfect for one couple or a small family with some maid service available. The cozy sitting room looks over the village rooftops, the kitchen-cum-dining with working fireplace looks out to the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Two bedrooms, one with queen and one with twins, share a bathroom with tub/shower. The cobbled streets will take you on foot to the village square, terraced bistros, shops, cafes and local facilities. There is no traffic or noise in this picturesque, un-touristy spot (there are car parks on the village edge). The archives of Montone contain papers by Dante. There are 12 churches with valuable works of art, seven sequestered nuns and one priest. Montone is within easy reach of the famous Umbrian towns of Gubbio, Citta di Castello, Perugia, Assisi, as well as Tuscany's Arezzo, Florence and Siena.
