The broad, front dining terrace has magnificent views overlooking  the Valley of Chianti with the charming town of Greve in the distance. All modern amenities prevail in this elegant, lived-in country estate. You can enjoy privacy and tranquility here, yet you're just 40 minutes  from Florence, an hour from Siena, 3 1/2 hours from Rome and just a half hour from the main Rome/ Florence Autostrada del Sole. At the Ugolino Golf Club, 20-30 minutes away, there is tennis and golf.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS: (Sorry, pets not permitted)
The Pool: On an upper garden terrace is a large private Swimming Pool (about 20 x 40 ft) surrounded by a terrace with umbrellas and lounge chairs. Alongside are a changing room and a bathroom with shower, wash basin, and toilet.

STAFF SERVICE: Included in the rental are the services of a resident Italian speaking,  couple who are trained to cook Italian-style. The wife cleans and cooks . The husband farms, does the garden, looks after the pool, does the marketing, and assists in the house with serving and other chores. Staff wages are included, but tenants are to include in their marketing budget food for the resident couple. They will work six days a week and they will be at rest after dinner is served on Saturday evening through Sunday. Gratuities are welcome at the end of your stay.

RENTAL INCLUDES: Household equipment, linen provision, utilities (not heating), staff services as described above, pool and ground maintenance. Note: the owner usually will occupy the cottage at the entrance to the estate and will be very helpful to guests (English speaking)

Elegant villa providing a very gracious backdrop for a sojourn in Tuscany. The entrance to the villa is preceded by an alley of cypresses almost half kilometer in length. The bed of the Empire room, the dining room, the ball room all have been preserved to give guests the feeling of life in Tuscany in the 17th century. Of special interest is the private swimming pool on a raised building surrounded with classical statues. The entire estate has been carefully restored taking special care in safeguarding its original appearance. The furnishings are very beautiful as are the spacious rooms, the antiques, the frescoes and the high ceilings. The Italian gardens are magnificent with extra-ordinary views of the countryside of Chianti and with a view of the village of Monteriggioni in the distance.

The property has belonged to the same family lines since the 17th Century. Estate lands, dating back tso the 13th C. cover over 500 acres filled with vineyards and woodlands perfect for trekking, promenading on the estate footpaths and cycling.

Distances: The lovely old village of Monteriggioni is just one kilometer away, Siena 10kms, Florence 50 kms, San Gimignano 30,
Perugia 100, Pisa Interntional airport 100, Tuscan beaches 97, and Rome 240. Tennis 6 kms and golf (3 courses) within an hour.
