Charming apartment for 4-6 persons on the 2nd floor (3rd American) of a Renaissance palazzo,In the heart of Siena's old city, just 200 yards or so from the central square, Piazza del Campo, where the Palio race is held annually in July and August. The apartment is very comfortable and attractively furnished. It provides an excellent base for visiting this fabulous city within walking distance of all major monuments, shops, cafes, etc.. The apartment's large windows overlook the palazzo's gardens and the surrounding Chianti hills. To reach the apartment after the elevator 3rd floor stop there are 13 steps down to the apartment entrance. Amenities include: air-conditioning, heating hair dryer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, phone, Satellite TV, CD player-stereo radio, DVD for American and Italian systems. Three of the casas hug the perimeter of the noble owner's 17th century castello and two are in a separate farmhouse building nearby. Guests of the hamlet share a beautiful, glistening swimming pool set into an upper terrace with extra-ordindary views of the splendid Tuscan countryside. Beamed ceilings, white walls, lovely brick floors, sparkling tiled bathrooms, and well equipped kitchens prevail.. On the premises is a small trattoria where you can purchase wine and olive oil from the estate and enjoy indoors or outdoors a light lunch .
